   You hop. The transaction lands in a slot — call it S. Nothing is decided yet.

   The hash of the next slot produced after S decides it. That slot does not exist yet when you hop — a skipped slot is simply passed over — and nobody can read a slot's hash before it is produced.

   That hash is mixed with the round id and the step number, then reduced to a number below 26 − step.

   If the number lands below the tier's hazard count, the lane is fatal.

The hazard chance rises every step, because the cells are revealed without replacement: twenty-five cells, traps of them fatal, one opened at a time.

No player can see or influence it: nobody can read a slot's hash before it is produced. The validator that produces the deciding slot could in principle grind its contents to kill a large pending hop, or skip the slot so the next one decides instead, at the cost of its rewards. Nothing in the program prevents that, and we say so rather than call this trustless. Under the program as deployed, the house cannot touch a round once it has started, and has no instruction to take a token out of the bankroll: the only ways out are payouts to winners and burns. It can pause new rounds — rounds in flight still play out and pay.

This site is static files. The only key it ever holds is your optional quick-hop key, which can play your own round and can never receive a payout.

Two powers remain, and we name them. Until the program's upgrade authority is renounced, whoever holds it could deploy a different program — renouncing it is planned for the launch, and this page will link the transaction when it happens. And the pause cannot be undone by anyone else: paused for good, the bankroll could not pay out or be withdrawn, so that key is meant to sit with a multisig.

Solana keeps the last 512 slot hashes readable — about 3.4 minutes. A hop has to be resolved or pinned inside that window; this page pins it for you if you stop. After it, an unpinned hop's deciding hash is gone from the chain, so the round can only be closed and the bet is lost. It is not refunded: a refund would let anyone who saw a losing hash walk away for free.

Cashing out at any step has the same expected value. There is no clever stopping point, and no bad one.

That is not marketing: the multiplier at step k is exactly the return to player divided by the chance of reaching step k, so multiplying the two back together gives the same number at every step.
